Shopify migration project overview
Mass Bay Trading Company had depended on their website for many years but faced challenges due to slow loading times and a out-dated design. These factors negatively affected the shopping experience for customers. Realizing the need for a better solution, the owner decided to contract us to migrate the old website to Shopify.
Our team spent over 50 hours doing the migration, which included:
- Creating a shopify sandbox store
- Migrating products, customers, orders to Shopify
- Completing QA of the migrated products, customers and orders
- Setting up menus for the new store
- Updating pricing and product pages
- Creating landing pages
- Implementing a daily backup of site
- Setting up shipping, taxes and payment provider
- Placing test orders
After completing the Shopify migration, our customer had a fully revitalized website, with all products transferred from the previous site to the new one. The enhancements included quicker loading speeds, an optimized payment process, and a modern design that improved overall user engagement.
